261-Series Vacuum Fitting
The HOBBS 261-Series Vacuum Fitting permits connection of a hose adapter, hose and vacuum head to the filtering system to allow cleaning of the pool. The cleaning operation removes larger particles that have settled to the bottom of the pool. The number of fittings required to provide complete pool coverage is based on using our standard 40' hose, and a maximum radius of 35' from each fitting is suggested. The vacuum fitting suction line is valved at the pump to allow the surface skimmer and / or anti-vortex suction sump lines to be valved off so that all filtered water will be drawn through the fitting during vacuuming operations. Multilevel pools require special design considerations in the placement of these fittings. The HOBBS #519-001 Maintenance Kit includes hose and vacuum accessories to be used in conjunction with the HOBBS 261-Series Vacuum Fitting.
